Why are we doing this?

The Three Kings Collection is a beautiful tradition that combines helping others with learning about the values of solidarity and humanity. Participants discover how charity collections work, who they support, and why taking part in socially beneficial activities matters. The programme also highlights that even a small contribution or simple act of help can have a meaningful impact — both for people in need and for strengthening cohesion within the local community.

What do we do during the event?

Participants become part of groups of carol singers who visit households in the community, bringing New Year’s greetings and offering the chance to contribute to charitable causes. Children learn traditional carols, discover the meaning of the Three Kings, and experience what it’s like to be a volunteer. Older participants can get involved in organising the event, preparing costumes, distributing collection boxes, or recording the collected donations.

More Information

The Three Kings Collection takes place every year at the beginning of January in cooperation with Charita České Budějovice. The proceeds support people who are ill, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families in difficult life situations. Participants leave the event with a sense of fulfilment from helping others, new experiences, and the joy of a day spent together in a good cause.
